I am a person who seeks to be a positive force in our community. I seek to build up others and support individuals. I try to create systemic change for a more equal and accessible community. I provide a listening ear, space for community members to reach out and I provide counsel. I am a curious learner and a voracious reader. I am Melbourne born and raised. I am a wife and a mother to three little girls under 5. I am a children’s lawyer for legal aid by day and an open-hearted community contributor by night.

I had the benefit of growing up in a family with a diversity of Jewish practice. Some members of my family were ultra-orthodox and others secular, one side Sephardi, the other Ashkenazi. This exposed me from a young age to the full gamut of Jewish identity and the complexities of our community. It also meant that I could see how each person had so much to contribute and that it takes many different types to create a vibrant community. This early experience ensured that I valued each person for their unique attributes and solidified my understanding that there is no one way to be Jewish but that we as a community must strive to ensure that each individual is able to bring their whole selves to Jewish life.
