My name is Rebecca Roozendaal. I am a high school student in Year 10 at Masada College and I am 16 years old. I would describe myself as kind, generous, creative, funny and hardworking. I always like to get the job done and find it instrumental to give back to my local and Jewish community. My hobbies are dancing, reading books, listening to music and writing. I have an interest in history, especially Jewish History and WWII, English and learning languages, primarily Hebrew. I really have a passion for animals and nature. I love looking after dogs and going on long hikes with my family. My family is very important to me and I spend almost every weekend visiting my grandfather or spending time with my friends. I would consider myself a good student and really enjoy the educational and social aspects of school.

Judaism is a huge aspect of my life. I am an observant Jew and I find it extremely important to follow and embrace Jewish traditions. One of my favourite practices is keeping Shabbat as I get to spend time with my family and friends and feel a strong connection to the Jewish community and my faith.
